DRAFT — NOT IN FORCE. NOT LEGAL ADVICE.
These terms have not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer and have not been adopted. They form no agreement with anyone, and no one should rely on them. This is working text kept in the open so the facts can be checked before Krown ships.
Anything still unverified is marked [TO CONFIRM]. Those markers must be resolved — not deleted — before this page can be treated as published terms.
Terms of Service
Operator: Lee Jacob Yan Chak, an individual developer · Governing law: Hong Kong SAR · Contact: support@krownapps.info
Draft written 27 July 2026, and last corrected against the shipping app and the running database on 6 August 2026. These dates record when the text was worked on; neither is an effective date, because these terms are not in force.
Krown is built and run by one person, not by a company. There is no corporate entity behind it, and any agreement here would be with that individual.
Who can use Krown
You must be 13 or older. You are responsible for the phone number and account you sign in with.
Your content
Your photos stay yours. You give Krown permission to store and display them for the sole purpose of running the game — showing them to the group you posted them in, and running that night's result. Nothing more. Krown does not publish your photos anywhere outside your group, and there is no feature that turns one into a shareable image.
What is not allowed
The Community Guidelines are part of these terms.
Moderation
Reporting a photo hides it immediately and takes it out of that night's scoring. It then goes into a queue for review, and the outcome is one of two things: the report is upheld and the photo stays hidden, or it is dismissed and the photo is put back. A photo hidden by a mistaken or malicious report can therefore be restored — but only by a reviewer, not by the person who posted it.
Separately, the person who created a group can remove a member from that group.
This section describes only what Krown can actually do today. There is no mechanism to suspend or close someone's account for breaking these terms, and this page will not claim otherwise; the enforcement tools that exist are the ones listed above. If an account-level sanction is added later, it will be described here before it is used.
Moderation is carried out by one person, not a staffed team, and no review time is promised here because none has been tested.
Availability
Krown is provided as-is. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable at times. The nightly reveal depends on scheduled processing and can be delayed.
Purchases
Krown is free. Every part of the daily game — posting your three photos, voting, the 9 pm reveal, joining and creating groups — costs nothing, and that is not planned to change.
Optional paid extras may be offered in the future. If they are, they will unlock only cosmetic, archival or convenience features — things like keeping your group’s full photo history, visual themes, prompt packs or app icons. Nothing that affects the game is for sale, ever: no purchase will change scores, votes, results, streaks or who wins, grant extra votes, or reveal anything early.
Who voted, and how, is never for sale. Reactions in Krown are anonymous to your group, and no product, paid or free, will ever offer to unmask them or sell “hints” about them.
Any future subscription or purchase would be billed by Apple through your App Store account, with the price, duration and auto-renewal terms shown before you buy; you would cancel any subscription in your App Store subscription settings, and refunds would be handled by Apple under App Store rules. Paid extras, like everything else in Krown, are for users aged 13 and over.
Ending your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time.
Liability
[TO CONFIRM — must be reviewed by a qualified person for Hong Kong SAR law. Do not ship AI-drafted liability wording unread.]
This section is deliberately left unwritten. A limitation-of-liability clause is the part of a document like this that most needs a lawyer, and inventing one would be the single most damaging thing this page could do.
Governing law and disputes
The intended governing law is that of the Hong Kong SAR. [TO CONFIRM] — how disputes are to be handled, and in which forum, must be settled by a qualified person before publication. Nothing is promised here.
Changes
An earlier draft of this page promised that material changes would be notified in the app before taking effect. No such mechanism exists. Consent is recorded once, at sign-up, and the app has no way to tell you these terms have changed or to ask you to agree again. Saying otherwise would be a promise the product cannot keep, so it has been removed rather than reworded.
What happens instead: the current text always lives at this address, and the date at the top of the page says when it last changed. [TO CONFIRM] — whether an in-app notice is required, and what notice period applies, must be settled by a qualified person before publication.
