Community Guidelines

Krown is small, private, and built on people knowing each other. These rules exist so it stays that way.

What Krown is for

Posting a real photo of your day and reacting to how other people answered the same prompt. That is the whole game.

Never allowed

• Sexual content involving anyone under 18.
• Nudity or sexual content.
• Intimate or explicit images of someone shared without their consent.
• Photos of a person taken or shared to humiliate, harass, or bully them.
• Content that rates, ranks, or mocks a person’s appearance, body, or worth.
• Hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
• Threats of violence, or encouraging anyone to harm themselves.
• Promotion of self-harm, eating disorders, or suicide.
• Impersonating another person.
• Illegal activity, or content that puts someone in danger to get a photo.
• Spam, scams, or advertising.

Reacting fairly

React to the photo, not the person. Using Missed prompt to punish a friend rather than judge their photo is against the spirit of the game, and coordinated reacting to push someone down is not allowed.

Reporting

Every photo has a report action. Reporting hides the photo from everyone in the group, straight away and without waiting for a human, and takes it out of that night’s scoring while it is reviewed. The person who posted it is never told who reported them. You cannot report your own photo, and you cannot report a photo in a group you are not in.

Blocking

Blocking someone hides your content from them and theirs from you, in both directions. Blocked people never appear in each other’s reaction queue. Blocking is reversible: Settings → Blocked accounts lists everyone you have blocked and lets you undo it.

If a rule is broken

A reported photo is hidden straight away and taken out of that night’s scoring. Someone then reviews it and either upholds the report, leaving the photo hidden, or dismisses it, which puts the photo back. That second outcome matters: it means a photo hidden by a mistaken or malicious report is not hidden forever.

The person who created a group can also remove a member from that group. There are no other roles — a group has a creator and members, and no member-appointed moderators.

What Krown cannot currently do is suspend or permanently close an account for breaking these rules. An earlier version of this page said it could. That was not true, and describing a punishment that does not exist is worse than admitting the gap, so it has been removed rather than softened.
