DRAFT — NOT IN FORCE.

What this page describes was last checked against the shipping app and the running database on 29 July 2026, and corrected where it was wrong. It has still not been adopted, so it must not be treated as a commitment. It is published here only so the wording can be checked before Krown ships.

Delete your account

You can delete your Krown account from inside the app. You do not need to email anyone or wait for approval.

How

  1. Open Krown.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Open Settings.
  4. Choose Delete account and confirm.

What gets deleted

What happens to a group you created

The group is not deleted along with you. It is handed to the member who joined earliest, who becomes its creator. The other members keep the group, its posts and its results. If you were the only member left, the group is deleted with you.

What may remain

Past group results remain, but no longer connected to you: a night that was already revealed still happened, so the result keeps its date while the crown loses your name.

A record of invite codes that were tried is not attached to your account and is not removed by deleting it. It holds the code and the time it was tried, not your name.

Photos you do not delete

Separately from account deletion, photo image files are removed from storage 30 days after they are taken, by a job that runs every hour.

Checked against the running database on 29 July 2026. This is worth stating precisely, because an earlier version of this page checked the wrong thing: the job was scheduled and switched on, but it failed on every run and had never deleted anything. That fault was fixed, and the job has completed successfully on every run since. A deletion promise is only worth making when the job is observed to succeed.

Deleting your account does not wait for that job. It removes your photos and the files behind them straight away.
